Renowned Industrial Designer
A highly admired, revered, and successful industrial engineer known for his innovative designs and contributions to the community. Dubbed as “rattan’s first great virtuoso” for his unique designs utilizing natural materials, full of innovation, conceptualization, elements, efficiency, and precise beauty.
Some of his clients include Queen Sofia of Spain, Queen Rania of Jordan, and celebrities like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
In 2017, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte appointed him as the co-chairperson of the National Economic and Development Authority – Regional Development Council for Central Visayas, and as a private sector representative to the Department of Trade and Industry for the Design Advisory Council in 2019.
He was awarded the “Gawad sa Sining Award,” the highest recognition given by the Cultural Center of the Philippines to artists for their contributions to the arts, culture, and heritage of the country. He was the first to receive this award for design.
Additionally, he has received numerous accolades internationally, including one from his alma mater, Pratt Institute in New York, where he was honored with the prestigious “Pratt Legends Award” in 2023.

Tinataguriang “rattan’s first great virtuoso” dahil ang kanyang mga natatanging disenyo gamit ang natural na mga materyales na punong-puno ng inobasyon, konsepto, elemento, kahusayan, at tumpak na kagandahan.
Ilan sa kanyang mga naging kliyente ay sina Queen Sofia of Spain, Queen Rania of Jordan, at mga aktor na sina Brad Pitt at Angelina Jolie.
Noong 2017 ay itinalaga siya ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte bilang co-chairperson ng National Economic and Development Authority – Regional Development Council for Central Visayas, at naging private sector representative sa Department of Trade and Industry para sa Design Advisory Council noong 2019.

Inspirasyon si Cobonpue ng kasalukuyan at hinaharap na henerasyon na nagnanais na gumawa ng kanilang marka sa industriyal na inhinyero.
